Real Food For Kids

As the local face of the national wellness movement, Real Food For Kids is committed to working in collaborative ways to increase the quantities of healthy foods in Fairfax County Public Schools and supporting programs that educate our students and their families on making healthier lifestyle choices.

We need your help! Please consider writing to your school board member today to help move the Real Food For Kids school food initiative forward. We are working with several school board members now who are very interested in making positive, healthy changes. You may use this sample letter (sample letter in Spanish), and we encourage you to personalize the letter with a thought, opinion, or event that has impacted your desire to write the letter. You can find your school board member's email address with the link in the letter. If you know any parent that has dealt with allergy issues, special needs, health issues, dietary concerns, please let them know. If you are outside of our school district, but know concerned parents who want healthier options for their kids, please let them know. If you live in our county and know other friends, family, neighbors, please let them know. If you have not yet signed our petition, please click here. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT! Together we can make this happen.
