Pizza Kits Fundraiser

Real Food for Kids: Chefs Feeding Families exclusive pizza kits from Pizzeria Paradiso are a creative and delicious way to support food-insecure children and families in our communities by hosting a virtual team-building event for your organization or a fundraiser with other community members.

With a minimum donation of $50, fundraiser participants may order a Pizzeria Paradiso Pizza Kit to support Real Food for Kids’ work to feed local families.  Each pizza kit includes all the ingredients required (dough, sauce, cheese, and veggie toppings) to make two wholesome 12″ pizzas: (1) Pizzeria Paradiso’s signature Bosco pizza with spinach, portobello mushrooms, and onions and (2) the Margherita pizza with basil and buffalo mozzarella cheese.

$250: Feed your family AND 20 families in need

$500: Feed your family AND put a restaurant staff member back to work for a week

CORPORATE TEAM-BUILDING

The virtual workplace has left little space for team building and employee engagement critical to your organization’s well-being.

Socializing, working collaboratively, problem-solving, and having fun together – even though you are apart – are all possible on a virtual platform.

Supporting your community while you engage with each other makes that time even more meaningful.

Here’s how it works:

  • Your company allocates a portion of the team-building budget toward a virtual “social for good” pizza kit event.
  • The company determines (1) the location, date, and time for when team members may pick up their individual pizza kits; and (2) the date/time for your team building event. Your virtual pizza-making can be paired with a professional activity or simply be social time.
  • The company places an order a minimum of 72 hours prior to the set pizza kit distribution date/time.
  • The company picks up kits from Pizzeria Paradiso on distribution day and assembles at your distribution location. (Real Food for Kids will handle pickup and oversee assembly for companies that have more than 50 Pizza Kit orders.)
  • Employees pick up kits at the distribution location (such as your lobby) at the selected date and time.
  • Employees join shared workspace forum such as Zoom at the activity time to make kits together and socialize.*

Link to full cooking instructions and a video tutorial with Pizzeria Paradiso’s award-winning chef and owner, Ruth Gresser will be sent to each team member.

Team-building activities should always include tasty food. Fact.

COMMUNITY DRIVE

Groups have risen to the unique challenges of the pandemic, helping families adapt to a new normal, and supporting children and families experiencing new levels of food insecurity.

The pandemic also means many families are going out less and cooking at home more, seeking the connection that comes with being in the kitchen together.

Pizzeria Paradiso Pizza Kits are a nourishing and fun way for families to cook together and ensure hot, nutritious meals are making their way to children and families in the Greater D.C. metro area’s most vulnerable communities.

Here’s how it works:

  • Your Group determines a date and goal for your Pizza Kit Fundraiser.
  • Real Food for Kids will set-up a personalized fundraiser page and provide a tool kit with marketing materials to help you promote the event.
  • Families pre-order pizza kits for pick up from the designated location during a scheduled window.  Orders must be placed 72-hours in advance.
  • On the day of distribution, a Group member picks up pizza kits from Pizzeria Paradiso, transports them to the pick-up location, assembles and distributes.  (Real Food for Kids will handle pickup and oversee assembly for schools that have more than 50 kit orders.)
  • Families have the option of also donating and delivering pizza kits to a pre-selected first-responder group (such as a local hospital or fire department)

Organizations or smaller groups can elect to schedule a time for families to gather on Zoom to make pizzas together and socialize.
